Objectives
I am seeking long term employment in a situation where I can contribute something substantial and essential, and can provide a relaxed enough environment that both client and I can feel comfortable enough to become friends. I am extremely easy going and adapt easily to another's lifestyle.
Education
High School Diploma | 1994
Received Letter in Theatre Arts
Experience
I started out in the healthcare field as a CNA in at Highland Terrace Nursing center, a long term facility in Camas Wa. I stayed there for 2 to 3 years before moving on to a Fort Vancouver Convalescent Center, a skilled Nursing Facility in Vancouver, where I again worked as a CNA although this time I was working in complex care rather than long term care. I worked here for almost 5 years. I the moved to Pacific Specialty Care, where I again worked as a CNA in a complex care unit. I worked here for another year before moving on to Home Health, where I have been since. Although I have had other clients over the years I am listing the one that is easiest to reach as a reference, Lisa Alt. I can provide her phone # upon request. Please ask if more references are required.

Skills
Working as a CNA I developed strong organizational, communication, time management, and a complete grasp of “What needs to be Done” (A great phrase I notice people do not refer to often enough)
Working Home Health I refined my skill set with attention to details, the ability to move at the same pace my client does, and a working definition of the word expediency.
In a more mundane sense, I am an excellent cook. I have a valid WA DL, and I am familiar with most common assistive devices.
I worked closely with Physical, Occupational, Speech, and Respiratory Therapies as a CNA and so have a broad knowledge base.

Note: I let my CNA certification lapse when I moved to home health, where it was no longer necessary, so I have had the training and the experience, but I no longer have the certification and would be required to retrain and retest to receive a CNA.
