Nucor Skyline is hiring qualified Welders for our facility in Longview, WA. As a Welder, you will be a key part of the production team responsible for safely producing high-quality structural steel products.

What You’ll Do

Primary responsibilities include:

• Welding structural steel components according to blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
• Performing industrial welding in a manufacturing or production environment
• Meeting production schedules while maintaining quality standards
• Maintaining clean and organized work areas
• Obtaining and maintaining required welding certifications
• Working independently and collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Following all safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards
• Ability and willingness to work any shift, including weekends and holidays as required
• Candidates must demonstrate the ability to follow, support, and uphold all safety policies and procedures at all times

Compensation and Pay

• Starting pay rate: $21.19 per hour
• Weekly production bonus
• Typical total annual earnings: approximately $78,000

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and Welding certification from a college, technical school, or trade school OR at least 2 years of industrial or manufacturing welding experience

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Structural steel welding experience
• Air arc gouging and plasma torch operation
• Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment
• Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, gauges, and micrometers
• Knowledge of common weld defects and quality standards
• Experience operating a standard overhead crane
