We have an immedie position open for a Diesel Mechanic to work on our fleet of trucks in Carson, WA. Mechanics interested in secure, steady employment are encouraged to apply. Will be required to spend time Hood River shop when not needed in Carson.

Pay and Schedule:

• Pay will start between $35-39/hr (DOE)

• Shift is Monday - Friday

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Repairs include but are not limited to, routine maintenance and repairing engine chassis and body components, hydraulic cylinders, brake systems, suspension systems, cooling systems, wheels and tires.

• Inspects equipment and/or trucks for condition, operions, parts and fluid levels, differentials, final drives, pump drives, and hubs.

• Knowledge of hydraulics repair is REQUIRED.

• Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initie or assign repairs.

• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.

• Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associed with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.

• Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

• Performs maintenance reled work as required.

• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corpore and OSHA standards.

• Performs required safety protocols while working on vehicles.

• Ability to effectively communice needed repairs or tasks.

• Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.

• Work environment - Mostly outdoors, as it is a sellite site. Must be able to work independently with minimal assistance. Sometime will be spent helping the Hood River shop.

 THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

• Minimum of 2-5+ years of diesel mechanic experience

• Must provide own personal tools.

• Welding/fabricion experience is required

• Must be able to opere diagnosis software for Alisson, Internional, Freightliner, and Peterbilt systems with minimal assistance
