I took a control unit like this and put it on another wash-machine once upon a time and it worked perfectly. Remember that episode of Star Trek where they used Spock's brain to run all the utilities of a city (or was it a planet)? Thats kind of what it's like when you attach an old control unit to a different wash-machine.
Unrelated, but I also have the electric motor for this machine. I might part with that if you need it, but I wouldn't sell it for less than it's scrap value. I hate to see other people scrap good working equipment.
