Invicta brand. Never heard of it? Me either, but made in England like Raleigh with same frames and most components. Sturmey-Archer AW 3-speed internally geared rear hub, hub shell stamped with year of production.
I bought it for $75 as a mostly original and partly shot bike. Completely took it apart (only exception, rims/spokes/hubs were not separated). Otherwise, all parts taken apart, inspected, rust removed, cleaned, some replaced. Yes, headset, bottom bracket and both hubs completely disassembled, checked for wear, cleaned and regreased. Frame sand blasted and powder coated along with original full fenders and chain guard. New grips, chain, cables, brake pads, seat post, tubes and cream Schwalbe Delta Cruiser tires. Handlebars and saddle aren't brand new but are new to this bike. Fabricated an LED front light and rear strobe light and integrated them into the fenders. Made some custom cable clamps for the top tube. Basically nerded out on building a unique and beautiful bike.
And now I want to nerd out on something else and there's no sense leaving this lovely machine just hanging in my garage. Buy it, ride it, and keep it nice. Size is medium.
Want it but think I'm asking too much? Make me an offer. I have roughly $350 in receipts and I-don't-want-to-count how many hours into it.
