My name is Moorea Masa, and I am a professional musician and vocal coach in Portland. I'm offering a vocal workshop on February 16th
About The Workshop:
A small group of 9-10 adults, meeting February 16th. The workshops are designed to help people find their voice, at whatever stage they may be. Any style of singing is welcomed. We touch on technical aspects of the voice, along with the more vulnerable sides such as performance, and harmony. The group spends about 30 minutes on vocal exercises and harmony and then each singer gets about 15-20 minutes to work on individualized vocal coaching in front of the group. The workshops are an incredibly safe and supportive environment for people to explore their voice!
I am a singer/artist and vocal coach born and raised in Portland. I have been singing my whole life and performing professionally since I was 15 years old. I was trained at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, and learned Speech Level Singing, and grew up working with a gospel pastor in Portland. I currently perform in my own project, and have sung with a multitude of different artists including KD Lang, Big Wild, Allen Stone, The Decemberists, El Vy, Ural Thomas and The Pain, and more. You can listen to my music and learn more about me here: Mooreamasa.com

Testimony: "Participating in Moorea's vocal workshop was truly a transformative experience. I fully expected her technical proficiency and ability to guide us smoothly through warm ups, the concept of harmonies, and even songwriting. What blew me away was how closely she worked with us to shape our individual performances-- honing in on the individual aspects of our singing that most needed work and empowering us to shine. I felt safe, supported, and ready to sing freely and confidently for the first time. Performing my own song in front of a group would have been inconceivable before. With Moorea's help, I got through one of the most terrifying experiences of my life and emerged triumphant. I would highly recommend her workshops to anyone who wants to advance their singing-- from the casual shower singer to the professional musician. It's not just a class. It's also therapy." - Rachel Good (Former Student)
