Do you enjoy providing customer service to a diverse public and working in a fun, lively setting supporting events including concerts and speeches? Do you enjoy being in a vibrant downtown setting? If you answered "yes" to both of these questions, consider applying to be a Checkroom Attendant at the Portland'5 Centers for the Arts.
Under the direction of the House Manager or Event Manager, this position greets and directs patrons, checks coats and other personal items; distributes assistive listening devices and may collect checkroom fees; acts as on-site receptionist during events. Shifts are located at the Portland'5 Centers for the Arts (Portland'5) and the Oregon Convention Center. Additional shifts may be available at the Expo Center. At Portland'5, the Checkroom Attendant checks in and helps distribute small equipment for volunteers and paid staff.
Part-time shifts vary in location and times of day/days of the week and will be scheduled based on frequency of events and labor workforce needs of the events at the facilities.

High school diploma or GED and a minimum one year experience in dealing directly with the general public in a high volume situation; or any combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the desired knowledge, skills and ability required to perform the job. Must be 18 years or older. Must be well groomed, dependable, reliable and prompt.
Requires ability to work weekdays, weeknights and weekends, including evenings and holidays. Previous experience interacting with the public and crowds is desirable.
