1948 Willy's Convertible Jeepster 2WD, manual (3 on the tree), with civilized Buick 231 running gear with overdrive. Too much fun! Meander back roads, trips to the vineyard, the coast, or keep up with modern highway traffic when required. This is a really fun and relaxing ride that brings a smile to everyone. This was a total restoration, not some hacked up V-8 chop job. The Buick V-6 with overdrive slid right in for custom fit in the Overland Jeepster without modifications or chop jobs, unfortunately, that you usually see with Willy's V-8 modifications. The Buick 231 is far superior to the original Willy's V-4 and parts are readily available.
Beautiful green and tan paint with newer top and upholstery. The original dual spotlights (rare and AM radio work intermittently. Everything else works (light, heater, wipers, speedo, overdrive, etc...). This Jeepster is a wonderful, civilized ride, not a hotrod. The Willy's suspension was never designed for V-8 modifications (a great way to ruin a Jeepster). This driving program is about relaxing driving in a stressful world and this Willy's was restored correctly. Side driver and passenger windows included. Just over 65,000 original miles on chasis and less than 1/2 that on Buick V-6. $29,000 or best offer.
