The Northeast Community Child Development Center is a small, family focused childcare cooperative in continuous operation since 1981. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic co-teacher and teacher's aide to join our toddler classroom teaching team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a play-based and child-directed learning environment, have an interest in emergent and responsive curriculum, and be willing to work as part of a creative and supportive teaching team.
Preferred education and experience: substantial progress toward an AA /AS degree in early child education, child development or comparable field, or one year of full-time teaching experience in a play-based toddler classroom.
Additional requirements: current enrollment in the Central Background Registry, valid Oregon Food Handler's Card, current pediatric first aid/CPR certification, and certificates of training in Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect (RCAN) and Introduction to Childcare Health and Safety.
Both full-time and part-time schedules are available. This is a great opportunity for a student pursuing a career in early learning or an experienced toddler teacher looking to join a supportive and cooperative classroom working environment.
