We are a small, local business in North Portland looking for an organized and motivated Warehouse Associate to join our team. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for ensuring inventory is accurately processed, organized, and stored. The Warehouse Associate will also package, palletize, and prepare orders for shipping. They are often in contact with vendors and delivery drivers on-site and must communicate professionally. The ideal candidate has a can-do attitude, effective time management skills, and is focused on quality and customer satisfaction. The Warehouse Associate must have experience with inventory software and databases, operating a forklift, and is comfortable working on their feet and lifting 65 lbs.

This is a full-time position, working 7:30AM-4:00PM Monday-Friday, with weekends off.


-Prepare and fulfill orders for shipping
-Contact shipping companies to arrange pick-ups and deliveries
-Ensure the accuracy of all shipping and receiving documentation (Bill of ladings, packing slips, DOT HAZMAT information, delivery receipts, Canadian exports, etc.)
-Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments
-Receive and process incoming inventory (inspect, label, report discrepancies)
-Perform regular inventory/cycle counts and root-cause analysis
-Communicate professionally with freight carriers, truck drivers, customers, supervisors, and coworkers.
-Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment and inspect for maintenance
-General facilities maintenance
-Coordinate logistics for incoming/outgoing freight
-Comfortably answer calls when needed and provide exceptional customer service
-Effectively manage time in an often fast-paced environment, keeping busy during downtime and comfortably expedite last-minute orders when busy
-Reporting of environmental or safety concerns and improvement opportunities to management


-High School Diploma
-Valid driver’s license
-Able to pass drug test/background check
-Physically able to lift up to 65 lbs
-Familiarity with inventory software and databases
-Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
-Pays attention to detail and monitors quality of inventory
-Must have forklift operation experience or certification
-Ability to take on and adapt to other responsibilities as needed
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

-Dangerous Goods Shippers Certification
-DOT HAZMAT Certification
-Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
-Truck-driving/delivery experience
