The Mark Spencer Hotel located in downtown Portland, OR is currently hiring for the position of Bell Attendant We're looking for applicants who strive to exceed guest expectations, like working with a team, are capable of working a flexible schedule and exude positivism.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION/PURPOSE OF JOB
The primary responsibility of the Bell Attendant is to provide a high degree of guest service, providing a positive first and last impression to guests as they arrive and leave the hotel. The position also involves assisting guests with their luggage and packages upon arrival and departure, and for arranging transportation when necessary.
Greet guests in a courteous and caring manner.
Transfer luggage and packages to and from rooms, loading areas, vehicles and luggage storage area by hand or using baggage carts.
Escort guests to and from their assigned rooms, and other areas of the hotel.
Assist physically challenged travelers and other guests with special needs.
Deliver sundry items, packages, flowers, etc. to guest rooms.
Pick up and returns guest articles for laundry/dry cleaning service.
Provide guests with current information about hotel and room amenities, directions, travel information and other information such as available services and points of interest.
Assist with operations functions within the Guest Services department.
Ensure the appearance of the hotel entrance and lobby are to Company standards.
Observe Company safety and security procedures.
Report potentially unsafe conditions.
May assist with event/banquet setup.
May assist with afternoon teas and/or evening wine receptions.
Perform other job related duties as assigned.
