We are looking for an experienced large volume cook for our Portland facility. We are a very busy commercial kitchen that makes thousands of pounds of food daily. This is a job for a hard working, reliable person that wants a good career with great company. This is NOT a restaurant job. The kitchen is in a warehouse cooking high volume from scratch. Here's a basic list of responsibilities and requirements, more info can be given during the interview:
Must follow the recipes strictly.
Keep track of the dishes through every stage of our CCPs on the intended paperwork.
Communicating to other kitchen staff needs of the leads and maintaining proper GMPs.
Doing any other part of the kitchen work when the need arises – lifting buckets, cleaning kettles, etc
Excellent communication skills are necessary for the nuances of correctly cooking our recipes.
General assembly knowledge or cooking knowledge required.
Basic math for counting weights of ingredients.
We have a great environment of wonderful people working here. Our facility is located in the Parkrose neighborhood off of Sandy Blvd. The schedule and hours are usually very consistent Monday - Friday 1pm - 830pm, however sometimes we have a lot of orders and need to stay late or work on Saturday to get it all done.
