This Trestle Table is a replica of a Trestle Table table used between 900AD to 1800AD. We reclaimed the lumber from four houses we dismantled in downtown Portland in 1978. These houses were built from the first lumber cut along the banks of the Willamette in the City of Portland in about 1870, from the Douglas Fir. The city of Portland was chartered in 1851. The lumber was 500-600 years old before it was cut 154 years ago. We built this replica from that lumber in 1988
