The Bureau of Planning & Sustainability (BPS) is seeking a Planning Assistant. This is a limited duration entry-level position supporting the SW Corridor Inclusive Communities Project. The position works in a team environment supporting project research, assisting with field work, drafting reports and communication materials, supporting and carrying out community engagement tasks and logistics, preparing materials for public meetings, recording questions and comments at meetings, maintaining websites and databases, scheduling meetings and other tasks as assigned. BPS prioritizes advancing policies and plans for equitable growth through community engagement with underrepresented groups, including communities of color, low income households, immigrants, renters and people with disabilities. The project team will often be working directly in partnership with community-based organizations to advance their objectives related to social justice, racial equity and equitable growth.
