Rhododendron Britainnia has a clear-red, ruffled blossom with a bit of brown speckling. Gorgeous when backlit by sun. Blooms mid-spring. Grows to about 4-5 ft tall/wide. It can handle full sun or partial shade.
Started from a cutting by me about 6 years ago. Now a nice-sized plant (in 1 gal pot) ready to grow well in your yard. It's already put on significant new growth this season.
