Medical Assistant

Portland, OR
Full-time, 40 hrs/wk

We're Growing! In partnership with Asian Health & Service Center, we will soon be opening a new clinic in Portland. Rosewood Family Health at Lents will be opening August 2018.
Strongly prefer bilingual language skills in Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, or Vietnamese with ability to communicate at level 10 on the ALTA language proficiency scale.
Some Saturdays and evening hours may be required; differential pay for qualifying shifts.

We will hire either Certified or Non-Certified MAs depending on qualifications of those hired.

Certified Medical Assistant Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Graduation from a medical assistant training program, OR graduation from a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces, OR at least 3 years of MA work experience within the last 5 years.
  • Unexpired documentation of passage of: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant, AMT Registered Medical Assistant, NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or NCCT National Certified Medical Assistant Certification/Recertification Examination and current CPR certification required; maintain current certifications.
  • Experience as an MA preferred but not required.
  • Strongly prefer bilingual language skills in Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, or Vietnamese.
Non-Certified Medical Assistant Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Graduation from a medical assistant training program, OR graduation from a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces, OR at least 3 years of MA work experience within the last 5 years.
  • Experience as an MA preferred but not required.
  • Current CPR certification; must maintain certification.
  • Strongly prefer bilingual language skills in Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, or Vietnamese.
