I am a CNA-Certified Nursing Assistant, licensed in Oregon. I have certifications in CPR and BLS. I’ve been employed in a Skilled Nursing Facility working with a diverse group of people with an array of health issues, including; stroke, dementia, diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, congestive heart failure, COPD and cancer. I worked for a pharmaceutical company for five years so I have a bit of a medication education. I started my first in-home private caregiver assignment where I cared for a complete quadriplegic with a trach on a ventilator in 2022. I cleaned and bandaged his wounds, gave him nebulizer breathing treatments, completed a daily bowel program, multiple times a day provided cough assist and suction to keep airway clear, administered medications, did trach care, and performed help with all ADL’s. I’ve also worked with several different elderly clients whose needs varied from a driver to a complete caregiver. I am extremely patient and I’m able to get along with anyone. I have a clean driving record with an excellent knowledge of the city after driving for Lyft for several years and leaving with a perfect 5-star rating so I’m able to transport to appointments in a clean car with full coverage insurance. I am able to pass a background check and my family says I’m a pretty good cook. (I’m no chef but I can follow directions and read a recipe.) I’m able to run errands, do light housekeeping, and provide companionship. I love animals and can help with pet care. I am available Monday - Friday and I show up when I say I will at the time I am expected. I am a non smoker and a non drinker and I have references available upon request. But really, besides all that, I’m just a cool cat. I’m diplomatic, honest, dependable, genuine, and funny!! My rates vary from $25-35/hour depending on the care that is needed and hours in the shift.
