We are an established, respected General Contracting company that builds and remodels high-end homes in the Portland Metro area. We have an opening for a full-time General Laborer who is interested in becoming a Carpenter’s Apprentice, and eventually a Carpenter. This is an entry level position requiring:
• Physical labor
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to perform basic construction site duties such as demolition, clearing debris, manual excavation, setting up protection for
finished surfaces
• Interest and aptitude necessary to assist carpenters, as needed
YOU MUST:
• Pass drug screen and criminal background check
• Have a driver's license, a good driving record, and a reliable vehicle - preferably a pickup truck
• Have rain gear
• Be able to speak, read and write in English
• Be able to show up on time and ready to work every day
• Be physically capable of heavy lifting, climbing ladders, bending, stooping, working in general construction site conditions
• Have basic-intermediate math skills and demonstrated ability to read and use a tape measure
• Have a resume showing prior job experience and references
• Be at least 18 years old
USEFUL BUT NOT REQUIRED:
• Basic carpentry skills
• Residential construction experience
SCHEDULE:
• Monday-Friday, (5) 8-hour days
• No nights/weekends
