Location/Schedule: Based at Lloyd Corporate Plaza with frequent field work across Portland and the metro area. Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. Role requires driving a company van as your permanent workspace.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance of vacant and occupied apartments, commercial spaces, clinics, common areas, building systems, and equipment within the assigned portfolio. Ensures vacant apartments are restored to market-ready status within timelines and responds to work orders per company policy. Maintains current knowledge of OSHA protocols and REAC standards, and supports Housing Department strategies to preserve value across Cascadia properties.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. LME or LMP highly preferred.
Experience: 5+ years in renovation, building repairs, maintenance, and/or related work.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Other: Valid driver’s license, three-year driving history, clean record, ability to pass DMV check, and completion of Cascadia’s online Defensive Driving course.
Environmental/Operating Demands: Varied routines requiring organization, prioritization, and problem-solving. Interactions with internal teams, tenants, vendors, contractors, and regulators. Professional conduct expected.
On-Call: One week per month (Tue–Tue) carrying emergency phone; respond within 15 minutes if needed. Emergencies may include fire, flood, blood/BBP, broken windows, lockouts, etc. Use universal precautions; remain alert to risks including violent behavior, biohazards, noise, and contaminants.
Mental Demands: Moderate complexity with frequent new/varied situations. Escalate high-complexity issues to Capital Projects Manager and/or Director of Facilities.
Physical Demands: Climbing ladders/stairs; carrying/lifting; walking; kneeling; standing; stooping; squatting; twisting; and bending for extended periods.
