Hello, my name is Brody Hedges.
I’m 16 years old and as long as I can remember I have wanted to get a job, and I’ve done jobs on the side all my life.
I have autism, but it’s a positive aspect of my personality and I still have a 3.71 GPA after my Junior year. I passed with five A’s and two B’s. I’m a very hard worker and my teachers and family know that. It can take me a little longer to understand directions or learn complicated tasks, but once I learn something, I will never let you down.
I will give an honest, hard day’s work, and keep up a good, honest, solid, brisk pace. I do not charge for breaks or lunch.
Please keep in mind that pace can vary slightly through out the day and it’s difficult to know how long something might take. I might exceed your expectations, or you might expect something to take 8 hours that will take 10 hours in actuality.
Here are some examples of my hard work:
I replaced a dishwasher and repaired another one
I replaced the front exhaust, the catalytic converter, the O2 sensors, and exhaust resonator in a 2005 Honda CRV. I also tuned up the CRV with new spark plugs, air filter, and ignition coils.
I tuned up a 2015 Nissan Xterra with new spark plugs, ignition coils, and air filter which was complicated and hard due to the location of one of the spark plugs, but I successfully tuned it up, and now the Nissan’s accelerator is faster, and a lot more solid and reactive.
I replaced an alternator in a 2010 Scion XB which also came with some big challenges.
I replaced the rear shocks on a 2002 Chevy Silverado.
I replaced the front bumper on a 2016 Toyota Tundra.
I replaced interior door latches, O2 sensors, dash lights, and spark plugs on a 1998 Toyota Corolla.
I did a tune-up on a 2003 Volvo S40.
I built an entire 10’ x 10’ vinyl shed by myself except at one time I used a little help from my father to get a piece of the roof up.
The last thing I built was a wooden cabinet.
I assembled office chairs, complicated large corner office desks.
I've done bicycle repairs.
I've done iPhone screen and battery replacements.
Most recently I helped my dad get a tree off of our house and then I cut the whole thing up and stacked it nicely.
My daily driver is a 1999 Toyota Corolla but I have access to a truck if you need help moving or hauling.
I am also really ambitious. I’m planning on opening multiple businesses including auto mechanic and real estate.
Reasons why I want to get a job are for the profits, so I have something to do instead of being stuck at home, and there are things I want to buy.
I studied the food handler license manual and got my food handler license.
It would mean a lot to me to get a chance to get jobs and show my hard work. I know that I would be a good employee and a solid and reliable worker. I also believe I’m very kind, thoughtful, respectful, considerate, and caring. I don’t let anyone get me upset and I’m very patient.
