Litigation Assistant

Job Number: 41370

Salary: $60K-$68K DOE

Location: Downtown Portland

Industry: Legal

What Matters Most:
  • 8+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a large firm environment
  • Proficiency in ProLaw and NetDocs helpful
  • Familiarity with court rules and filing in Washington, Oregon, and federal courts
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
Your New Role:

Teamwork is the catalyst for this regional law firm's success and they are seeking to bring aboard a Litigation Assistant to support this highly-regarded shareholder's practice. This practice group deals in casualty matters and the casework straddles products liability, commercial litigation, business, and insurance matters. This is a very collaborative group that has plenty of institutional knowledge to share. You'll assist a few associates with opening files and tracking deadlines. This will require a strong communicator - someone who's outgoing and able to take initiative when dealing with a high volume of work, occasionally working overtime when a deadline requires it. You'll dedicate a decent portion of your day to scheduling, calendaring, and making travel arrangements. You'll also be lauded for your sharp writing and editing skills. If you take pride in your love of language, grammar, and syntax, then this gig has your name on it!

Your New Organization:

If you're looking for long-term stability and longevity in your career, this is the place for you! Enjoy a steady flow of work, clear direction from your supervising attorney, and a wonderful team dynamic. This firm gives back to the community through pro bono projects and offers its employees the perks and resources of a regional firm with an intimate culture reminiscent of a mid-sized firm. The benefits are phenomenal - they'll offer you paid time off, medical and vision coverage, a 401(k), disability and life insurance, and access to an employee assistance program.
