Litigation Assistant

Job Number: 41699

Salary: $48K-$60K DOE

Location: Downtown Portland

Industry: Legal

What Matters Most:
  • 2+ years of litigation support experience in an insurance defense practice
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat required; Experience with TimeMatters preferred
Your New Role:

We're working with a firm that's truly evolved over their 100-year history, curating a progressive culture, but still keeping the local flavor that's helped them find success in Portland's dynamic legal market. A Litigation Assistant role has opened up on their team, and they're seeking an organized and professional candidate to fill it. If you're looking for a challenge, this is it! You'll provide primary support to one of the firm's talented partners, learning all you can from them as you go. This partner's work in professional negligence and personal injury defense takes them to trial often, so they'll need someone who can take projects and run with them without needing direct supervision. Your duties are as classic as they get - calendaring, proofreading, managing deadlines with a proactive approach, and preparing your attorney for trial. You'll team up with two paralegals on this team and may support an associate or two in need. Great client relations and time management skills aren't just for show here - you'll put them to good use in nearly everything you do!

Your New Organization:

This firm practices everything, from family law and estate planning to litigation and real estate. Their warm and family-oriented office culture is a major draw and you'll never lack for friendly colleagues and great stories. They are located right on the waterfront, perfect for taking a long walk or enjoying your lunch riverside. There's a gym in the building if you're looking to keep healthy and regular office parties where everyone can relax and enjoy each other's company. You'll get paid time off, medical coverage, a 401(k) plus match, paid jury duty leave, and a transportation stipend on top of your competitive pay. Get your resume to our legal recruiters today for consideration!
