Small busy family law office in downtown Portland seeks receptionist/administrative assistant. Position requires excellent phone and in person communication skills; ability to address conflict and to multi-task. Primary duties are reception for 3 attorneys and staff. Position includes: assistance to paralegals and office manager; maintaining calendar for attorneys; scheduling appointments and conferences and ordering supplies. Applicant should be comfortable in interacting with a variety of legal clients in stressful circumstances. Applicant should have prior reception experience and word processing. Interest in family law, experience with excel and prior paralegal experience preferred but not required. Reply with cover letter and resume with salary requirements.
