Primary responsibilities of the QA Manager include the following:
Plans, organizes and directs quality program to meet company objectives.
Oversees key quality projects, quality performance reports, data and analysis.
Key contact for resolving customer and supplier quality issues.
Manages Export compliance programs.
Acts as Management Representative for to ISO 9001/IATF16949/AS9100 certification.
Establishes and maintain internal quality audit program to ensure audits are completed on time.
Ensures processes and procedures needed for compliance with ISO 9001/IATF16949/AS9100 requirements are established, implemented and maintained.
Monitors and reports on the performance of the key quality metrics defined by management.
Participates in continuous improvement of quality management system.
Ensures promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
Organizes and facilitates external quality auditing activities with registrar and customers.
Maintains QMS document and records control program.
Monitors non-conformance reporting including corrective and preventive action program.
Coordinates with Quality and Engineering teams to ensure that internal FAIs and PPAP documents including FMEA, Control Plans, and FAIs are completed.
Organizes and leads Management Review meetings.
Provides training for all company employees on quality system, FOD and Export compliance.
Selects, develops, and supervises quality staff.
Candidates must have:
Thorough knowledge of manufacturing quality standards
Minimum 7 years' progressive quality experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
Minimum 3 years' supervisory/management experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or business (or a combination of applicable coursework and experience)
Experience working with IATF16949 and/or AS9100 quality management systems
Knowledge of metal forming and stamping strongly preferred.
