Purchased directly from Apple in July 2024 (unlocked, will work on any carrier), and I've been using it without a case ever since, so it's a little scuffed up. I would not describe the condition as mint. Cinnamon at best.
The back glass is cracked, and there is a hairline crack in one of the rear camera lenses, specifically the highest zoom lens. Images at high zoom may be a little fuzzy unless you replace that lens. It's about $10 for a new lens, and maybe 15 minutes max to replace it. I've done this repair before on another phone and it's really easy, I just don't care enough to do it since I have a new phone.
The front screen broke a few weeks ago, when someone (me) knocked it off a table, and I replaced it with an aftermarket screen which works fine, but the phone "knows" that it isn't a legitimate Apple screen. It works fine, but one thing that bothers me about it is that it doesn't auto-adjust the screen brightness very well compared to the original screen.
