Here is a 1967 Univox hollowbody bass guitar. This old girl is in amazing shape,,, cosmetically, playability, feel and electronically. A real collectors time capsule. EVERYTHING ON IT IS ALL ORIGINAL (except the strings, of course). This has the "rare to find" spring mute, that is in perfect working condition. This bass is ready to gig and will totally stoke the professional bass player. From the era in Japanese musical craftsmanship, which has become legendary.
The neck is maple with rosewood, 20 frets, fully bound , 30 1/2 inch short scale. The action plays great. Original chrome tuners. Headstock logo intact. No buzzing, frets are perfect, truss rod works in both directions.
The bridge is adjustable wood and metal, all original and includes the rare spring mute which works perfectly.
The electronics work perfectly with nice sounding pickups, excellent tonal variation, toggle works great. Original black/gold knobs.
The body is in excellent shape, a few dings that are almost un-noticeable. No buckle rash on the back. With a sunburst finish, the bass looks beautiful.
