I’ve been collecting parts for this B-15 build for over ten years, but I don’t really want or need it anymore!
The vintage transformers are huge and perfect for the amp. The OT has multiple secondary taps for different speaker/cabs. The PT is 330-0-330; dead on!
The chassis is Trinity Amps out of Toronto. The Tip Top is their take on a Fliptop. As I understand it, they made it as kit or as a built amp. It is a two channel amp, each channel being one of Ampeg’s B-15 variations. Here’s their website:
If I were to build it, I’d contact them and try to buy just a circuit board, but of course you can use any generic blank board.
I have loads of other parts for it—tubes, cap cans, switches, most of the little bits. If I have it I’ll give you a good deal on it. I’ve built over 100 amps (including one B-15, ages ago) but I’m not as revved up about building amps as I once was, and I’m ready to part with some of the remaining stash.
