Maulbetsch & Whittemore Company manufactured this family owned hard resin violin case. All the clasps operate properly.Trademark is Bull's Head Image with a G Clef music shaft & letter M&W July 1893 on the back of the case (See photo) . There is no key but all the latched, hinges and clasps do work. The condition of this case is in great vintage shape. The dimension on the inside are 26" long, 8.5" at widest part and 1.-3/4" deep. On the outside it measures 31" long x 10" wide at widest point and 5" deep. The 2 front latches also have "M&W Co" on them.There is a metal piece on each end to protect it from damage, plus 4 metal 'feet' on the bottom when sitting flat. The case is black with a blue interior and has two latches and one lock. The interior has a little covered storage space for putting your little things. The 2 spring clamps to hold your bows are in tack. It is a great old violin case that just needs a new home.
