211info seeks a Community Information Specialist to connect people with health and social service programs that can help them with housing, food, heat, electricity, health care, legal aid and other supports.
We provide on-the-job training for people who embrace equity, kindness and professionalism. Specialists interview callers, scan a database for resource information and engage in creative problem-solving with people in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
Part-time or full-time hours are available. Specialists work in our Portland office. Pay is $15 an hour; a differential is available for people who speak English/Spanish, English/Russian or English/Chuukese.
Benefits include a retirement plan and paid time off for all staff. People who work 30 hours or more also receive medical, vision, dental and alternative care coverage, an Employee Assistance Program, and life, AD&D and short-term disability insurance.
Candidates should have experience in crisis intervention, a contact center or social service organization.
