Title: Estate Store Manager
Supervisor: Enterprise Director
Hours: Part Time, 20 - 32 hours
Salary: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Community Warehouse is the only nonprofit, full-service furniture bank in this region that collects and redistributes donated furniture and household goods to neighbors in need. Through two locations (Portland and Tualatin) and partnerships with over 200 social service agencies, public schools, and faith communities, the Warehouse helps 60+ families every week stabilize their lives by providing them with the basics that turn their housing into more comfortable, functional homes. Our Estate Stores sell a small percentage of donated items to raise critical funds.

This position is for individuals with experience in retail, preferably on furniture & general houseware. The ideal candidate loves sales, has a retail management background with experience in display merchandising. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, value working in a multicultural and inclusive equity-focused environment, and be a dynamic, customer service specialist.

Responsibilities: The Estate Store Manager is the primary staff person responsible for the sales activities and day to day operations of the Community Warehouse Estate Store. This person will manage the operations of the Estate Store with a focus on meeting sales goals. This position supervises, coordinates and schedules four Estate Store staff. Potential to increase hours as the organization expands. This position reports to the Enterprise Director for day to day operations and works closely with other Enterprise staff and volunteers to ensure successful store operations.

Essential Duties:

-Maximize sales by providing customer service. The Estate Store Manager spends most of their time on the floor interacting with customers.
-Manage, support, motivate and provide recognition to staff and volunteers.
-Develop and maintain relationships with Estate Store customers.
-Track sales data and create reports.
-Train and coordinate tasks for volunteer Estate Store Ambassadors.
-Ensure safety and store merchandising standards.
-Ensure organization policies and procedures are followed.
-Support marketing plans to bring customers into the store.
-Serve as primary contact for special events within the store.
-Work collaboratively with other members of the Enterprise team to build a cohesive marketing strategy, consistent volunteer training materials, and other shared organizational infrastructure.
-Oversee online sales and coordinate staff to ensure positive seller ratings and sales goals.
-Prepare Daily Summary and deposits.
-Other duties as may be assigned by Enterprise Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-An enterprising spirit and business sense is required as is the ability to lead volunteers and manage customer relationships.
-Staff supervision experience.
-Previous sales and display experience in a retail environment preferred. Strong computer skills are an important part of this job.
-Must have excellent time management, have excellent social skills, and a sense of humor.
-This is a physically demanding position; requires some heavy lifting up to 75 lbs. Accommodations available for people differently able.
-Work on evenings and weekends is required.
