Hey! I have been fostering this handsome man for over a year for no fault of his own. I don't feel like I am good at getting any of my 3 fosters the attention they deserve. (They will all have their own posts).

Backstory: In October of 2022 on my way home I drove past 3 dogs wandering the road on my street. Made a brief stop at home to grab more leashes and treats before going back to them. Ended up being a mom with two 6 month old puppies. The mom had a collar with a number on it thankfully. I got in contact where we arranged it for me to take all 3 home and I would host their mom to get spayed and updated on her shots. Once all that was taken care of they picked up the now spayed mother and I kept the duo of puppies to rehome them. They needed socialization and I wanted to help- the humans were having a hard time rehoming them on their own.

Gizmo is handsome, loves to slap anything from dog to human in play and showing affection, extremely food motivated, and has a HUGE positive enthusiastic out look on life. Silly, goofy, and loves to zoom. He does have his nervous movements but overcomes them on his own if given the time to process through things. He has been on pack Hikes with me and 4 other pups and can maintain a loose leash.

I devote my fulltime job via in-home Dog Boarding and Doggie Daycare and Pack Hikes in nature, therefore, Gizmo has been around dogs of all types since I picked him up when he was about 6 month old. He loves to play! (If you are looking for Dog Boarding, Doggie Daycare, or Pack Hikes you are also welcome to contact me to inquire via here or on Instagram).

Instagram: Samroverpups (TONS of videos of Gizmo and my other fosters(Angus and Phoenix) for your viewing pleasure).

DOB: March, 2022.
Age: 2 y/o.
Gender: Male, Intact. (Not for breeding- I left him intact for growing purposes via joints). Neuter date is scheduled 08/7/2024.
Breed: Shepard mix of sorts.
Kids: He has not had long exposures with kids. It would depend on the family's kids ages and what Gizmo's body language tells me if we arranged a meet and greet. If your child/a child that will see him frequently are constantly going to be in his face or give no personal space then Gizmo is not the dog for you. I do think he'd love respectful kids or any teenager age and older with proper introductions.
Cats: He has been around one young dog savvy cat and he does ok. As mentioned before he is a slapper so putting him with a much smaller cat then his large body is something to be cautious of. When he gets too excited he struggles to calm himself down or ignore the cat. This dog savvy cat he met does not run so I don't know if Gizmo would chase a cat or not. I would advise against a house with a non-dog savvy or a flighty cat.
Vaccines: Has had all the puppy vaccines and their once a year Bordetella shots. Rabies will be given on his neuter appointment.
Rehoming fee: There is a rehoming fee, please message me.
Contract: If you adopt him and things don't work out I require to have Gizmo returned to me so I can keep looking for his perfect fit. Even if that is 4 years from his adoption date or 3 days.

Please reach out if you'd like to arrange a meet and greet or have any other questions for me. This clown of a boy deserves to have a home of his own!
