Items included in this offering are as follows: Zeiss Ikon ZM, body and body cap, shutter button; Zeiss Biogon T* 2/35 ZM lens with original box, associated instructions, certificates, front and rear lens caps; B+W T-Pro 43mm UV MRC Nano Haze filter with case and box; a total of 4 viewfinder diopter correction lenses, +- 0, -1, +1 & +3; Evergreen leather neck strap; 9 CR1/3N batteries and a couple of rolls of B&W film.
Production of the Zeiss Ikon XM started in 2005 and ended in 2012, having produced in the 8 year run, only this one excellent model, except for the SW, which was a super wide version without a built-in rangefinder or viewfinder and used an accessory mount viewfinder. These cameras are of excellent design, all metal, made to last and easy to use. At this point in time their availability has been depleted, especially with issues around import tariffs.
Items of Note:
> The ZM shutter range is B, 1 - 1/2000 second plus Aperture Priority AutoExposure and a Flash X Sync @ 1/125 second
> The ZM viewfinder has lens activated frame-lines that set themselves automatically to the field of view of the attached lens, as on Leica M cameras and has automatic parallax correction. Its viewfinder is one of the brightest and easiest to view, that is found in this style of camera. Additionally, included with this kit are diopter correction lenses, +- 0, -1, +1 & +3, which should accommodate seeing and composing images perfectly with about any needed vision correction.
> The light metering system is center weighted, measuring light reflected from an 18% panel integrated into a horizontal shutter segment.
> Known for outstanding, distortion-free images and low light capabilities, the Biogon f2 35mm T* lens is extreamly sharp at wide open and stopping down reveals the smallest details with excellent image resolution and quality. Images taken with most all Zeiss lenses reveal contrast, saturation and razer sharp quality that is among the best in the world.
> The ZM is designed to take lenses with an M-mount and will take an array of Zeiss, Leica, Voigtlander and other lenses with the M-mount.
