Hi,
My name is Christina, ideally I'm seeking private work in the sw portland areas but can travel for longer shifts (I've a 3hr min. for shorter shifts). I'm a healthy, kind woman with a wide range of C.N.A. skills and experience in hospice home-health, long-term care facilities, hospitals, and private home-health since 1990 in both WA and OR states.

My rate is $20/hr and I can work with your family's budget. Negotiable, per diem for 24 hr shifts. I've verifiable records and referrals of anything you may ask for and in the past have been bonded. Past positions have ranged from training in the Army as a 91A combat medic, to becoming a C.N.A. and working in long-term care facilities/nursing homes. I then worked with various nursing agencies in WA and OR (verifiable through the O.S.B.N. online) as a C.N.A. and Home Health Medical Aide, sent to local hospitals, hospice homes, convalescent nursing sites and private residential homes. I have also worked in residential foster homes and have been bonded in the past, can do so again if preferred as it expired. I presently hold current TB clearance card, food handler's card, and CPR/First Aid certifications, have taken death and dying courses and Health aspects of Aging 437U at Portland State University school of Gerontology and Aging services. My most recent state certified C.N.A. certification training was completed in 2012 of May and I'm recently certified in Phlebotomy.

I took a brief leave being a C.N.A. to learn computer technology and ended up going back to caregiving as I like to work with people hands on. My specialty is in hospice and end of life care after all the years gaining experience of multiple age related illness', to natural end of life cases, as well as naturopathic and homeopathic care cases. My life's purpose is to be of a service to people and the world as it comes naturally to me. I am an old-fashioned soul with knowledge and interest in olde-time music, and history. I can provide excellent Memory Care for dementia cases with empathetic patience. I foresee myself continuing my education towards my MS at PSU while working as a caregiver and volunteering in my community from time to time. In my free time I enjoy cooking, horticulture, hiking, reading, art, sprouting, yoga and mind/body/health related. Please contact me via CL with brief primary details in how I may help care for you or your loved one, thank you.
