I am a retired teacher and principal. I have done tons of house/petsitting, including all over the metro area, in Washington. and even months in Costa Rica. I am an engaging, helpful tutor, particularly with middle and high school kids needing support with writing and overall homework organization. I prefer a walkable inner neighborhood with some historic architecture, cafes, restaurants, shops, good mass transit.
I live pretty quietly. I am a big reader, NYT in the morning, fiction escapes at night. I write children’s picture books, blogs, poetry, often on the themes of a more caring and just world.
