Trying to get on my feet has been impossible (Portland/ sellwood, Gladstone)

Recently came back to portland area to be closer to my daughter after divorce. Gave up my farm and business and pretty much everything I own. Making the 6 hour round trip 6 times a week just wasn't working out, I though it would be easy to find a job and a place but turns out nobody wants to hire someone who stays in their truck. And nobody wants to lease to a guy who just works whatever odd jobs he can find In order to get into a place therefore to get a stable job. Instead of being able to save money I spend everything I get doing odd jobs on hotels so I can have a good space to have and feed my kid on the weekends. I've tried the channels thru 211 and what not but it turns out that there aren't much resources for a sober single dad. So I'm stuck in a catch 22 almost by design. I'm 33 years old. Ill drink on just limited occasions, I don't use drugs, I'm not lazy, I clean up after myself. I'm very respectful of others, I am also a pretty handy guy to have around. So here I am asking for a helping hand from someone on this rock that I'm stuck on, orbiting thru space with. I just want a room or something I can sleep safely, have my daughter on Friday-Sunday, somewhere I can get a stable job so I can get caught up on child support and my other debts and save some money to get into a place of my own. I don't have much money at the moment but I will give you whatever I can come up with, I'll do work around the house, whatever needs done, I'll get employed and start paying a steady rent within just a few weeks. Putting this out there, still in hope.
