Professional Country / Pop / Rock band looking for male vocalist. This individual must understand harmony, stage presence and have a professional demeanor. It’s a bonus if you also play an instrument (rhythm guitar / keys / harmonica / shakers / tambourine / bongos), but not an absolute requirement. We have an amazing lead female vocalist for you to share duets with. She’ll also sing perfect harmony for you on your tunes, and you’ll sing harmony for her on her tunes. We have a dedicated, talented male singer currently in this role, but he'd like more time off to spend with his young family. We're looking for someone to fill-in on dates that he's not available. Ideally you'd be splitting this position 50/50 throughout the year.
The Sweetwater Band has been playing venues across the Pacific NW for 15 years. We have an accomplished team of talented musicians that really “click” and have fun together. We’re paid well and never play for free. We perform at festivals, weddings, private parties, casinos and lodges. We currently play 30-40 shows per year typically.
We’re a team and everybody helps to haul, set-up and tear down equipment. We have professional equipment and use in-ear monitors on stage (we supply the in-ear monitor gear). We all leave our egos at the door and support each other, both together as a group and individually as friends. We’re in search of a talented musician ready to join our musical family and develop a long-term relationship with this band. We have gigs booked through the year and are ready to fill this position immediately.
We have a dedicated performance space in St. Helens and only rehearse as needed. Most of our gigs are on Friday or Saturday nights, with more in the busy summer event season than in the winter months. We keep a shared Google calendar and respect planned time off. We're a pro band with pro gear and a pro attitude, but this is all about having fun, being a musical family, building a great playlist and client base. We all have real jobs, so if you're hoping to make a living with just your music, we probably aren't the right fit.
We play mainly covers, but love mixing in some obscure tunes. We do New Country, Old Country, Rock, Classic Rock, R-and-B, Blues, Disco - whatever tune it takes to fill the dance floor. We’re definitely not just another Classic Rock or Country cover band. About you - You must have a great sound, and great stage presence. We usually "play it like the record" but like to make it our own as well. Looking for someone who is mature, fun and drug-free (or at least not majorly altered during performances!). A couple of drinks during rehearsal and gigs are fine, but no drunks please.

Our rehearsal space is a 20 to 30 minute drive out in St. Helens (in Columbia County, Oregon - not by the volcano in Washington!). We look forward to meeting you and hearing your voice!
