We are looking for a CNC Operator to join us in doing the good work we are presently engaged in, and grow with us into the future.
Operate (2) 3-Axis CNC Routers concurrently to support production needs. These are large (5'x10') bed routers which most often work with sheet goods of varying size and weight. Being physically capable and comfortable with handling 4'x8' sheets (up to 90lbs ea) on an ongoing and regular basis is an absolute prerequisite for this role.
Operate small bed Laser (25W) for cutting & engraving of light materials as needed.
Work with Studio Engineers to ensure best results from cutting/milling operations.
Schedule and conduct all routine operational maintenance work for CNC Routers and Lasers as well as upgrades or repairs, as needed.
Maintain inventory of bits and associated tooling.
Track and maintain job-based sheet material inventories and organize cut parts for subsequent fabrication work.
Set up files and utilize CNC/Lasers to produce special jigs, templates and implements to support production work of Shop Lead and Fabricators.
Superfab will be moving much of our production work into a larger facility in the coming year, and for the right candidate there is ample opportunity to come for expanded responsibility and promotion.
You're expected to be smart, curious, a good communicator and personable, too. Doing good work is a team sport. The desire and ability to learn quickly and constantly improve is essential. Some heavy lifting, packing, and overtime may be necessary. Other requirements are as follows:
High School or equiv.
+ bonus for college, trade school, etc.
2 years minimum experience operating CNC routers.
Read and edit NC-Code for CNC operations.
Ability to produce CNC operation files in Rhino/RhinoCAM.
Basic wood shop experience, knowledge of tools & techniques (3+ years, minimum).
Specific tools you MUST have experience with include: Random orbital sander, pneumatic fasteners (brad and pin nailers,) drill/drivers, chop saw.
Other applicable tools include, but are not limited to: Table saw, drill press, routers.

+ bonus for use of Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel
$16-22/hr, depending on experience. Full-time (40 hrs/week) with potential for overtime.
