We are looking for auto/car transport drivers with a class "A" CDL license for routes within Oregon and Washington. A typical route would run from Portland, Oregon to Kent, Washington or Portland to Bend and back. Our drivers load vehicles at their pickup location and unload them at the delivery location. Drivers are typically home at least 4 nights a week and seldom work weekends. At times you may work one weekend day.
We will pay $200.00 per day for training drivers for auto/car transport business.
As a driver for Young's Transport, you will:
§ Efficiently load and secure vehicles onto the trailer
§ Communicate with customers to arrange pickup and/or delivery times and locations
§ Update dispatch on progress and any delays or issues
§ Correctly complete Bills of Lading and delivery paperwork
§ Maintain logs of working hours via EROAD
§ Check your truck to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, and report any issues to management for repair.
REQUIREMENTS and SKILLS
§ Class "A" CDL license
§ Analytical and critical thinking skills
§ Good communication skills
§ Calm demeanor and good attitude
PAY AND BENEFITS
Drivers are paid 23% of their load. Our drivers make $68,000 (on average) and have the ability to earn $80,000+.
We offer other incentives, including:
§ Medical after 60 days (we pay $400.00 a month)
§ 401K after 90 days (we match up to $100.00 a month)
§ Paid vacation
§ Home nights 90% of time
We are an Auto Transport company and have been providing excellent service to our customers for over 18 years. We currently run 9 trucks in Oregon and Washington. We typically haul used cars between dealerships or to/from auto auctions.
Because we are a smaller company we believe we have better routes, better equipment, and better schedules than other larger companies. We take care of our drivers because we know we wouldn't be where we are without them. Our drivers are our most valuable asset.
