Diane was a renowned American marine photographer and artist, IN the early 1960s, Beeston started her own business as the premier yachting photographer on San Francisco Bay. Her work was featured on many magazine covers and advertisements. She published a highly regarded book of her photographs titled Of Wind, Fog and Sail: Sailing on San Francisco Bay.
In the late 1980s, Beeston moved from San Francisco to the quieter, more peaceful community of Astoria, Oregon where she shifted her focus from photography back to her love of painting and sculpture.Her art can be found in various local businesses, restaurants, and at the Columbia Memorial Hospital
