Mulberry Talent Partners has joined with our client, a family owned wholesale distributor, in Tigard to identify an Assistant Controller for their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting.

This is a direct hire, full time role that will be responsible for the accounting operations of the company. This includes but is not limited to the production of financial reports, proper maintenance of accounting records, managing controls and budget to mitigate risk, enhancing the accuracy of financial results, and ensure GAAP compliance. You will oversee staffing, general ledger/financial reporting, and internal controls and processes. You will be managing a team of seven accounting professionals. You will direct the organization’s accounting functions to assist leaders in making educated economic decisions about the future of the company.
The ideal candidate:
You bring a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years managerial experience, and 5+ years’ experience in an assistant controller/account manager role. CPA certification, wholesale/distribution and/or warranty experience is a plus. Prior experience with an employer who has multiple locations is preferred, as well as experience with ERP software. You have excellent problem-solving, analytical, and negotiating skills, previous experience with accounting firms, and work and excel proficiency.
