***BEWARE***
DO NOT HIRE OR CONTACT RM MOTORHAUS - DAVID REICHOW -AKA DAVID GONZALEZ FROM BEAVERTON. Phone 5035098289 HE CLAIMS HE IS A MECHANIC. WILL NOT GIVE REFERENCES. HE SCAMS MONEY AND HAS NO CLUE WHAT HE IS DOING!!!!
***BEWARE***
Will misdiagnose your vehicle, take two or more days to do a job he quoted at three hours to complete.
He came to diagnose a vehicle. It took him 4 or more hours. He left saying "I am not sure. I need to go home and put it in my computer and enlarge it and see what it is."
Before we scheduled him to come "fix" the car I text and asked if he could please call three previous customers and ask them if it would be ok for someone to call and check references.
He refused to give references. He told me I was going to be a "problem client" and that he "runs his business as a no karen zone."
Any reputable mechanic would have no problem providing references.
I told my husband not to schedule with him. That he was not going to be what he needed. I said I felt there was something off with David and he would be better off to call someone else.
My husband had so much faith in this guy then when my mom called and offered to pay for the vehicle to be taken to a reputable shop AND cover all the repairs to get it running that my husband kindly declined and said he had someone coming back out to fix it.
So, the car was given two issues that needed to be fixed to get it running properly according to RM Motorhaus
The CV Boot and the throttle body.
Parts were purchased. Repairs took not one but two days (not the quoted three hours) and the car still doesn't run.
David was paid. Said he would come back a 3rd day.
That evening, I explained all of the red flags. Google his business. Go to the state of Oregon's website and put his name and/or his business name in and try to find that he is legally registered as a legitimate business. Google him and try to find a review. Go ahead, look for anything you can to see that this is a good, honest, reputable mechanic. I promise you, you'll not find it. The invoice he sends has tabs you can click on, yet none of them work. He doesn't fill it all in or have it all set up to work properly.
I looked my husband in the eye and said "in the 13 years you have known me, have I ever been wrong when I have said to steer clear of someone?"
He said "no, until this time."
I said "ok, then promise me this. You will not sign any paperwork or give him one more penny until you come and discuss it all with me first." He agreed.
This morning rolls around and low and behold David wants more money to re-diagnose the vehicle. Spouse already paid for parts, and repairs that HE diagnosed. He was wrong. Now wants more money.
He has a foul mouth. Sent rude, derogatory things via text not only to myself but to my daughter as well.
