I was told these were from the OHSU Pharmacy up on the hill and when the pharmacy relocated to the waterfront, these were not needed.
When I googled what was in this bottle, I learned this: Saponins are a diverse group of naturally occurring plant compounds that have a soapy, lathering quality when mixed with water.
The ground stopper on this is securely stuck and I did not try to force it open.
