ACS Professional Staffing is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer in Hillsboro, OR. This is a permanent opportunity with a company that specializes in industrial chemicals. This right person will enjoy working directly with customers and will have gained experience supporting the semiconductor industry through chemical related solutions.
Assist Quality Assurance Manager in the smooth operation of the Quality Assurance Department.
Plans, implements and verifies the quality improvement process.
Identify, prepare and distribute external specifications for finished products.
Review reports of process changes and preventive actions, including review of root causes and verification of the appropriate actions.
Work closely with customers to determine their required specifications and to assist in solving general problems or concerns about products.
Report to process changes to customers.
Control of customer complaints, including investigation of root cause, establishment of corrective actions and reporting results to customer.
Provide implementation and control of corrective action with focus on the prevention of reoccurrence though follow-up.
Make judgments for disposal of control documents and quality records.
Adherence to corporate, State and Federal regulations and guidelines when handling hazardous materials or when exposed to hazardous situations.
Must adhere to departmental and corporate standard operating procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Mentoring within the Quality Assurance Department.
B.S in chemical engineering or equivalent education.
Minimum of 3 years in a quality assurance or chemical engineering field.
Experience in a semiconductor environment is imperative.
Must be comfortable working with chemicals including, but not limited to, corrosives and organic solvents.
Ability to effectively communicate in English (both oral and written).
Ability to work various shifts and hours as needed.
Ability to assist with various departmental projects or events as needed.
Knowledge and experience in ISO 9000 required and ISO 14000 is desirable.
There is a potential for exposure to hazardous conditions and/or materials. Must be capable of performing duties while wearing, safety glasses and/or goggles, and other personal protective equipment that may include clean room apparel.
