Join Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District and Horses for Clean Water for a FREE workshop about pasture management, horse health, and water conservation! Sunday, Feb. 24th, 1-4pm.

Learn how your daily actions and long-term plans can help protect your horse and land against the emerging challenges of climate change. This workshop will focus on two areas: pasture management and water conservation. We will cover basics of growing and sustaining pastures, managing weeds, renovating pastures, and fencing pastures so they are more productive, and your horse is healthy. We will cover horse health issues associated with pasture management such as ways to keep horses from becoming overweight or developing metabolic issues - while still providing "enrichment" opportunities. In addition, learn great ideas for reducing and managing water use in the barn, paddock, and field.

BONUS: Learn concepts and design techniques behind track paddocks, confinement areas meant to keep horses healthy and mentally stimulated.
