Opens in front AND on top. Too small for my 7 pound Chihuahua, he can't fully stand up in it unless the top is open, but then he jumps out. U can also take the top half off from the middle, good for storage. It's a nice little crate and a good deal! I'm throwing in the like-new crate pad too. I always had it in a pillow case to keep it clean and protected. 13"W, 20"D, 12"H. Call or text only, please and thank u.
