Directors of Health Services (DHS's) are Registered Nurses in our Community Based Care settings who direct and manage the healthcare services we provide.
What do I do as a DHS? The DHS leads, mentors, trains and supervises a team of care professionals to provide a comprehensive plan of care for each resident. Our DHS's work closely with our continuum of care providers to manage all levels of our residents' needs.
Avamere at Sherwood offers 55 comfortable housing arrangements providing respite care, assisted living, and memory care. Avamere at Sherwood is actively involved in the local community. We host a monthly ice cream social at the Sherwood Senior Center and are involved in the Oregon Alzheimer's Association. Through our partnership with Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center, a nationally awarded and recognized hospital, we have created an atmosphere of trust, support, and quality outcomes when residents are transferred to us for acute care services. Avamere at Sherwood is currently seeking top notch talent with a passion for the geriatric population to join our all-star team.
