Title: Logistics Lead
Location: Hillsboro, Oregon
Reports to: Global Logistics Manager
FLSA: Non-exempt (Fulltime)
Compensation: $20 per hour

PURPOSE
Logistics Leads work directly with Logistics Supervisors or Managers to help lead the daily routines and activities of Material Handlers to ensure we are meeting commitments. Logistics Leads will need to be able to work on tight deadlines, be competent in using Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel, and have good verbal and written communication skills. They also perform the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, and supplies throughout the warehouse and manufacturing facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.
• Ensuring all work areas are organized, clean, and safety standards are met
• Subject matter expert for logistics topics- sought by material handlers for help and troubleshooting
• Shared accountability with supervisor/manager for the quality and execution of daily processes by the team
• Responsible for training material handlers, helping to create training materials, as well as helping to train cross functional teams on logistics processes
• Make recommendations for process and procedure changes required to improve overall efficiency
• Unpack and verify goods received against purchase orders, RMA’s, or invoices of received goods and communicate any non-conformances
• Prepare and maintain records of cycle counting, receiving, RMA’s, and shipments
• Examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing floor
• Perform daily cycle counts and variance reconciliation
• Picking, kitting and delivery of inventory items from work order pick lists for assembly teams
• Stock newly received materials and parts into inventory locations per FIFO rules
• Generate Picklists, Pack lists, Commercial Invoices for shipments
• Physically pick, pack, and label items for shipment with high degree of accuracy
• Generate Freight Quotes in a timely manner
• Respond to email in a timely manner with clear and concise communication
• Other duties or projects as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Minimum of 7 years successful experience as a material handler, shipping clerk or similar role
• High School Diploma or High School Equivalency
• Demonstrate leadership and influence to drive change
• Proficient computer skills and experience and with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required
• Ability to consistently demonstrate proficient technical knowledge to perform Shipping, Receiving or Inventory Control daily tasks
• Demonstrate proficient ERP/MRP skills
• Demonstrate proficiency at creating international shipments
• Must consistently communicate in effective and proactive manner across departments
• Must be able to work just as well independently as with a team with little direction or supervision
• Must be able to efficiently and accurately perform data entry and pay attention to detail
• Demonstrate strong work habits of cooperation, time management, and work well under stress
• Must be flexible and be able to consistently adapt to changing priorities to meet deadlines
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and dependability
• Must perform basic math and record keeping on a daily basis
• Must be able to be forklift certified and be able to operate safely
• Must be able to read and follow operational and safety procedures in English

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Must be able to lift 20-35 lbs regularly and 40+ lbs. on occasion
• Some overtime may be requested
• Duties routinely require standing, walking, pushing carts and pallet jacks
• This position resides in a warehouse and manufacturing setting with fluctuating temperatures due to the loading and unloading of freight
