Nadine Weatherstone Atelier is hiring a Studio Assistant to join a small team producing high-end, handcrafted wallcoverings and sculptural lighting.
This is a physical, hands-on role inside a working artist studio. You will be working with plaster, gesso, mineral pigments, sand, and handmade paper. The work requires focus, consistency, and attention to detail.
**Before applying, please read carefully:**
* This is not a design job
* This is not a fast-moving creative role with constant variety
* Much of the work is repetitive and process-driven
* The standard for quality is high, and details matter
If you’re looking to “be creative” right away, this is not the right position.
If you’re interested in learning a craft over time and working with your hands, this may be a strong fit.
**What You’ll Do**
* Assist in the production of handcrafted wallcoverings and lighting
* Follow established processes exactly and consistently
* Prepare materials, maintain tools, and keep the studio organized
* Support the team in meeting production timelines
**What Matters Most**
* You show up on time, every day
* You take direction well and follow through
* You care about doing things properly, not quickly
* You’re comfortable with hands-on, sometimes messy work
* You can stay focused on detailed tasks for extended periods
**What You’ll Gain**
You’ll learn how high-end, material-driven work is actually made, step by step, inside a professional studio.
For the right person, this can grow into a long-term role.
**How to Apply**
Please email with a short introduction and any relevant experience.
In your email, tell us why this type of work appeals to you specifically.
