Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated, safety-conscious Construction Delivery Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for transporting critical materials, tools, and equipment to and from various job sites. We need someone who can work independently with minimal supervision while strictly following safety protocols and delivery schedules. Your role is essential in keeping our projects on schedule by ensuring materials arrive safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities
• Transport & Delivery: Safely haul construction materials (lumber, pipe, equipment) to multiple locations daily.
• Independent Coordination: Manage your daily route efficiently and stay on task without constant oversight.
• Follow Directions: Adhere to specific delivery instructions, site-specific safety rules, and navigation routes provided.
• Loading/Unloading: Securely load and unload cargo using manual techniques, forklifts, hand trucks, or pallet jacks; assist
with site placement as needed.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (fuel, fluids, tires) and report any defects to
supervisors.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate logs for mileage, fuel, and delivery receipts; ensure all documentation is signed by site
managers.
• Site Coordination: Communicate effectively with manager and site supervisors to coordinate delivery timing and navigate
site obstacles.
Requirements
• Self-Motivation: Proven ability to work independently, stay productive throughout the shift, and solve minor logistical
problems on the fly.
• Instruction Following: Excellent ability to follow verbal and written instructions, including complex delivery sequences and
site safety orientations.
• Clean Driving Record: Must have a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) showing a valid driver’s license with no recent major
violations.
• Background & Drug Screening: Must successfully pass a comprehensive pre-employment criminal background check and
drug screening.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (regularly up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 75 lbs) and work in
various weather conditions.
• Experience: Previous experience in delivery driving or on construction sites is preferred.
• Navigation Skills: Proficiency in using GPS and navigation apps to find optimal routes.
Work Environment & Benefits
• Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM; shift times may vary depending on the time of the year.
• Environment: Mix of warehouse, storage yard and active construction site environments.
• Pay Rate: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour (starting rate depends on experience).
