Jr. Associate--Capital Raise/Investor Relations

"As the President of the Fairway America Capital Markets Group, I am looking for an all-star to join our team in an important role that offers a lot of room for growth. In the last five years, Fairway has rapidly become the leader in the Small Balance Real Estate ("SBRE") industry through our SBRE advisory, consulting, fund administration, online crowdfunding platform, investment management technology, live investor events, and our growing capacity to allocate to and raise capital for SBRE entrepreneurs (real estate syndicators, private lenders discounted note buyers and other SBRE dealmakers). We are now at the point in our growth where we need additional strong and talented people to execute our capital raising efforts while helping to assist the build-out of our world-class Investor Relations department.

Fairway America manages three proprietary funds - Fairway America Fund VI, LLC, Fairway America Fund VII, LP, and Fairway America Fund VIIQP. We have worked tirelessly over the past several years to identify and secure a steady stream of credible third-party real estate-based investment opportunities for which we need to continually raise capital and then provide ongoing communications to investors. You will need to be resourceful and determined to get things done accurately, effectively and timely. In short, I am looking for someone who wants to develop into a world class Capital Raise Professional who is capable of making a significant contribution to an entrepreneurial company experiencing tremendous growth with the intent to scale.

If you are at the stage of your life when you are ready for that prime occasion to step up and achieve something special for a true market segment trailblazer, this position might be an ideal fit for you. If you have a desire to learn from the best and grow into a true capital raise professional focused on the HNW, ultra-HNW, family office and related investor world, are confident you can learn to follow and apply successful strategies to raise capital from this type of investor base, and want to make a huge difference in the growth of the company, we want to hear from you!

--Darris Cassidy, President, Fairway America Capital Markets Group

At Fairway America, we are committed to our Core Values.

These values are alive at our company and we live them every day while pursuing our mission of helping small balance real estate entrepreneurs scale their businesses.

Act with Integrity - Do what you know is right in all situations
Do a Lot and Do it Right - Results matter
Learn, Grow, Adapt, Improve - Continually strive to get better
Focus on What Matters - Prioritize the most important
Value for Value - Bring value to others and demand it in exchange
We have already made tremendous strides in that mission and have quickly become the industry leader in SBRE. We are growing in all phases of our business model and need exceptional, quality people to handle that growth.

A critical role for the ongoing success of Fairway America is that of a Jr. Associate, whose primary function will be to work closely with the entire Capital Markets Group team to prospect for new investors, create capital raise marketing materials, update investment offerings on our website, track investor pipelines, help with investor communications, and more. You will be expected to study for and pass the FINRA tests to attain a Series 63 and Series 7 license within six months of joining. This will allow you to grow into a role where you can speak directly with investors about investment opportunities. I need a disciplined, self-motivated Jr. Associate who is willing to do what needs to be done. The job is fast-paced and the role will require a positive can-do attitude.

-Do you possess strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to ask the right questions of fellow team members and investors?
-Do you love finance?
-Do you like building relationships that can produce quality opportunities for you and your company?
-Do you enjoy learning new concepts--and can you learn them quickly?
-Are you a good listener? Can you effectively listen in a way that allows you to hear and feel others' pain points, needs, and desires even if they cannot perfectly articulate them?
-Can you concisely communicate important high-level information to company executives?
-Do you understand and believe in providing true, genuine, and real value to others rather than just pushing them into an investment to make money?
-Are you unafraid of hard work, deep commitment and high achievement (and in fact relish it)?
-Do you get excited about whatever work you do, take deep pride in doing it well, and think about it even when you are not working?
-Do you prefer to be part of an integral smaller, tight-knit, entrepreneurial team as opposed to working in a gigantic corporate environment?
-Does doing your absolute best and being an achiever in whatever you do come naturally to you?
-Do you like to keep score?
-Are you a self-starter that is driven toward financial success?
-Do you have the personality to make outbound phone calls to both prospective and current Fairway investors?
-Do you consider yourself a hard worker that takes initiative to get things done and does not need to be closely managed?
-Do you get excited about your work, take deep pride in doing it well, and think about it even when you are not working?

The Position:

The Jr. Associate role is one that is positioned to develop over time into an integral player for: 1) all capital raising efforts including sourcing, engaging and raising capital from a targeted investor base for multiple pooled investment funds and syndications; 2) being involved in the execution of our world-class Investor Relations department including the assistance in communication and reporting functions to our investors.

The right candidate will be eager to learn and able to make an immediate contribution in several areas currently being performed by others, such as: the creation of offering memorandums, pitch decks, drafting investor communications, handling existing investor questions, tracking data and numbers for scorecard purposes, and more.

As the first year as Jr. Associate, you will be expected to study and pass your Series 63 and Series 7 to attain proper licensing to be a capital raiser. Once such licenses are attained your responsibilities will continue to grow until you are prepared to be a full-time professional capital raiser.

Qualifications and Skills:

At Fairway America, we strive to hire only "A players" for whom success, achievement and integrity are simply what you demand of yourself. Therefore, core values, resourcefulness, a natural desire to succeed, and a demonstrable track record of success in whatever you have done in your life are more important to us than absolute apples to apples experience. That being said, an ideal candidate will possess most or all of the following:

-BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration or similar fields (Masters in similar field a plus but not a requirement)
-Proven track record of success and demonstrable results as a difference-making team member in prior roles
-Comfortable with prospecting and selling via email and phone
-We will train you, but you should possess and develop an ability to grasp high level real estate finance and alternative investment concepts
-Good time-management skills
-An organized and effective personal and professional style, with well-developed communication and presentation skills in executive settings (including working with presentation software tools like Microsoft PowerPoint)
-Proficient in Microsoft Excel in particular and other Microsoft applications in general
-Highly organized with the ability to efficiently and accurately manage multiple projects and responsibilities
-A deep commitment to honest, ethical conduct in all dealings and an ability to adhere to the company's core values
-Exceptional work ethic and desire to succeed
-Excellent oral and written communication skills

You will need to effectively listen and ask the right questions about what needs to be done and where you can provide value. We will also expect you to be a good time-manager and have the professional integrity to act with high ethics. We are disciplined about how we spend our time and will expect you to maximize your efforts. This opportunity will allow you to play a significant, meaningful role from the start and grow in your position as you hone your skills!
